 | Louis J. Sapi, C.A, M.B.A.Managing Partner Mr. Sapi received both his MBA from Schulich School of Business, York University and received his CA in 1986. He is a senior and founding Partner of HS & Partners LLP. He has provided mergers and acquisitions, taxation, and general business management consulting for over twenty years. His experience includes strategic consulting, negotiations, debt and equity financing and business acquisitions. Louis has co-authored a book on Elder Care in Canada, called Mothers & Fathers, Health and Financial Advice to Share with Your Parents.  | S. Sonia Vaknin, B.A., LL.B.Director of Tax Ms. Vaknin is a Lawyer and Tax Specialist with degrees from York University and the University of Western Ontario. Her areas of expertise include Estate Planning, Personal and Corporate Tax Minimization, Reorganization of Companies, Mergers and Acquisitions. She assists clients with Tax Audits, Appeals and Voluntary Disclosures. Sonia has extensive experience with Scientific Research and Experimental Development Tax Incentives which have resulted in significant tax refunds for qualifying clients.  | Frank PrestaSenior Manager Accounting, Auditing, and Taxation Frank received his Bachelor of Commerce and Finance degree from the University of Toronto in 1983. He has practiced as a licenced public accountant ranging from a sole practitioner as well as a Partner in a mid- sized CA firm. He has extensive experience in tax planning for owner managed entities as well as experience in estate and tax planning using Trusts. Frank also has numerous years of experience in non-assurance and assurance engagements ranging from audits and reviews for privately held profit and not-for-profit organizations. When articling with an international accounting firm, Frank acquired the skills necessary to perform assurance engagements of corporations in a wide variety of industries, such as manufacturing, land development, retail and public corporations. Downey, B.Comm., C.A.Senior Staff Accountant Daniel graduated from University of Toronto (Erindale College, Mississauga) with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1988 and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 2004. Mr. Downey have a diversified background with small to medium sized public accounting firms with experience in assurance services, corporate and personal tax assignments and excise tax, in diverse industries including real estate operations, non-for-profit regional and national charitable organizations, and franchising. Daniel has worked with a large international firm (Ernst & Young LLP) as a Senior Staff Accountant Level 3, where he obtained the experience with a number of clients including non-for-profit organizations, real estate rentals, manufacturing companies, pension plans and investment trusts, and public company interim review engagements. Mr. Downey is currently a part of the HS & Partners family as a Senior Staff Accountant and his goals include continuing to learn and develop new skills, networking and meeting new people. Daniel is also originally from a northern Ontario railroad town north of Sudbury, Ontario and is an avid fan of the outdoors and nature in general.
